As a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, I am very fortunate to be the Owner and Leader of an amazing group of employees at Avid Home Care Services. We were started in April 2017 by 2 friends of mine from the ground up with a commitment to having no hourly minimums for our clients. My husband and I bought it from them and took over Jan 1,2019. We are still the only non-skilled agency in Brevard County with no hourly minimums, making help at home affordable to everyone. After 11 years of being a home care RN on the skilled side I was shocked that there were no agencies to just come help someone safely take a shower. Personally, I have experience in surgery, pathology, psychiatric, transplant, and home care nursing. This rare mix of experience allows me to consult on many different subjects in nursing, but home care has become my specialty. I love what I do, and the home care industry is so complicated to navigate I enjoy helping clients travel down the path to aging in place. I do not believe in exhausting seniors' resources before they need it by enforcing hourly or weekly minimums. I have been quite successful at bringing care in the home to people on fixed incomes because they deserve professional care as well. I am very skilled at coordinating care with other available resources. My goals are to empower and educate clients in making the best healthcare and end of life decisions for them and their families.
